Bad Moms is a raucous comedy about overworked mothers who rebel against the pressure to be perfect. The two films are quick to watch, and here's the order to enjoy them.
Bad Moms follows a group of stressed-out mothers, led by Mila Kunis, who decide to throw off the impossible expectations of modern parenting and cut loose. The hit comedy's raunchy, relatable humor earned it a holiday-themed sequel that brought the moms' own mothers into the mix.
π Release Order
Release order moves from the original rebellion to the Christmas-set sequel.
- Bad Moms (2016)
- A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)
The sequel continues with the same core trio, so the chronological order follows the release order.
π Story Chronology
A Bad Moms Christmas is set after the first film, making story order the same as release order.
- Bad Moms (2016)
- A Bad Moms Christmas (2017) β the holidays with their own moms
Which Order Should You Choose?
Watch Bad Moms first, then A Bad Moms Christmas. The original introduces the overwhelmed trio and their friendship, while the sequel raises the stakes by adding their visiting mothers during the holidays. Since the follow-up relies on the chemistry built in the first film, starting at the beginning makes the comedy land best.
