Saved by the Bell is an iconic teen sitcom that spawned spin-offs, TV movies and a 2020 revival. With a little-known predecessor and overlapping shows, the franchise needs a clear watch order.

Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, A.C. Slater, Screech, Lisa Turtle and Jessie Spano made Bayside High a 1990s Saturday-morning institution. The show actually started as Good Morning, Miss Bliss, a Disney Channel sitcom set in Indiana, before being retooled. The gang followed Zack to college, got married in Las Vegas, and returned decades later in Peacock's revival, while Mr. Belding and Screech stayed at Bayside for The New Class.

πŸ• Release Order

Release order shows how the franchise evolved, starting with the show that most fans have never seen.

  1. Good Morning, Miss Bliss (1988–1989)
  2. Saved by the Bell (1989–1993)
  3. Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style (1992)
  4. Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993–1994)
  5. Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993–2000)
  6. Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas (1994)
  7. Saved by the Bell (2020–2021)

Story order is close to release order, with one complication: The New Class aired alongside The College Years and kept running for seven seasons. It's best treated as a parallel branch focused on new students.

πŸ“– Story Chronology

In chronological order, follow the original gang from middle school to their wedding, then watch the parallel New Class and the revival.

  1. Good Morning, Miss Bliss (1988–1989)
  2. Saved by the Bell (1989–1993)
  3. Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style (1992)
  4. Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993–1994)
  5. Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas (1994)
  6. Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993–2000) β€” parallel series
  7. Saved by the Bell (2020–2021)

Which Order Should You Choose?

For most viewers, the chronological route is best: it keeps Zack and Kelly's story together from Bayside to Vegas. Good Morning, Miss Bliss and The New Class are optional for completionists, while the 2020 revival is a smart, self-aware sequel for nostalgic fans.
