Three Men and a Baby is a hit comedy about three bachelors whose lives are upended when a baby lands on their doorstep. The two films follow the men and their growing family, so here's the order.
Three Men and a Baby follows three carefree New York bachelors whose glamorous lives are turned upside down when an infant is left in their care. The warm, funny culture-clash comedy became a huge box-office success and earned a sequel that revisited the trio as the child grew older.
π Release Order
Release order follows the men and little Mary from infancy to childhood.
- Three Men and a Baby (1987)
- Three Men and a Little Lady (1990)
The sequel is set years later as Mary grows up, so the chronological order matches the release order.
π Story Chronology
Three Men and a Little Lady takes place after the original, with an older Mary, so story order follows the release sequence.
- Three Men and a Baby (1987)
- Three Men and a Little Lady (1990) β Mary is now a young girl
Which Order Should You Choose?
Watch Three Men and a Baby first, then Three Men and a Little Lady. The original sets up the lovable trio and their crash course in parenting, while the sequel follows the family as Mary grows and her mother's future comes into question. Since the follow-up builds directly on the first film's relationships, starting at the beginning gives you the complete, heartwarming story.
