Be careful what you wish for β€” the malevolent Djinn grants deadly wishes in the Wishmaster horror series. Here's how to watch all four films in order.

Wishmaster unleashes the Djinn, an ancient evil entity who twists every wish into a gruesome fate as he works to bring about an apocalypse. Backed by Wes Craven's name, the 1997 original was a gory hit that led to three sequels, each raising the Djinn's body count.

πŸ• Release Order

Release order is best, as the sequels continue the Djinn's schemes.

  1. Wishmaster (1997)
  2. Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999)
  3. Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell (2001)
  4. Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled (2002)

The sequels loosely continue the mythology, so story chronology follows release order.

πŸ“– Story Chronology

Story chronology matches release order, with each film continuing the Djinn's quest to collect wishes and open the gates for his kind.

  1. Wishmaster (1997)
  2. Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999)
  3. Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell (2001)
  4. Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled (2002)

Which Order Should You Choose?

Start with the 1997 original, which features the best effects and Andrew Divoff's memorable turn as the Djinn. The sequels are lower-budget but fun for gorehounds. Release order keeps the Djinn's apocalyptic plan easy to follow.
