How to watch

The YRF Spy Universe is Bollywood's answer to the shared cinematic universe, linking high-octane espionage blockbusters through crossover characters and cameos. Agents Tiger and Kabir anchor a world of globe-trotting missions, with the films increasingly tying into one another. Starring some of Bollywood's biggest names, the universe has become a box-office juggernaut built on spectacle and surprise guest appearances.

🕐 Release Order

Release order is the best way to experience the crossovers, as later films reference and connect the earlier missions.

1. Ek Tha Tiger (2012)
2. Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
3. War (2019)
4. Pathaan (2023)
5. Tiger 3 (2023)

The Tiger films form their own trilogy, War introduces agent Kabir, and Pathaan and Tiger 3 bring the agents together with cameos that reward viewers who've seen the earlier films. What began as a simple spy romance in Ek Tha Tiger has grown into an interconnected web of agents, villains, and surprise cameos.

📖 Story Chronology

The films roughly follow release order, and the growing web of crossovers is designed to be discovered in that sequence. The crossovers are carefully seeded across the films, so the release-order path is the only way to catch every connection as intended.

1. Ek Tha Tiger (2012)
2. Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
3. War (2019)
4. Pathaan (2023)
5. Tiger 3 (2023)

Which Order Should You Choose?

Watch in release order to catch every crossover and cameo as intended. The Tiger films, War, and Pathaan increasingly reference one another, so following them from Ek Tha Tiger onward makes the shared universe's payoffs land best. Tiger 3 ties several threads together. The crossovers are the whole fun here, so resist jumping around; following the films in order lets every cameo and connection hit the way it should.
