Kid 'n Play turned a simple house party into a hip-hop comedy franchise that spans more than three decades. Here's how to watch every House Party movie in order.
House Party was a breakout hit in 1990, following Kid as he sneaks out to his friend Play's party despite being grounded. The film captured early-90s hip-hop culture with killer dance battles and comedy from Robin Harris and Martin Lawrence. It spawned two sequels with Kid 'n Play, a direct-to-video entry with new characters, a 2013 follow-up and a 2023 reboot produced by LeBron James.
๐ Release Order
Release order takes you from the original trilogy through the later revivals.

Only the first three films star Kid 'n Play and follow their story from high school to college to Kid's wedding plans. The later films introduce new characters, although the 2023 reboot features a memorable appearance from the original duo.
๐ Story Chronology
